About Us

If you are looking for great quality locally grown organic produce you have come to the right place. We are the leading provider of organic boxes in our part of the country . We deliver from our twin sites (Ledbury in Herefordshire and Rodington in Shropshire) in two 60 mile circles. As well as our own farm where we have apples pears plums, brassicas and hens we work co-operatively with dedicated local small growers. We firmly believe that organic should go hand in hand with local. Placing an order with us means that you are shopping in a sustainable way.

In addition to our home delivery service (or boxscheme, if you prefer) we are also grow ourselves on our very own Upper House Fruit Farm in Putley, Herefordshire - 70 odd acres of organic goodness in the beautiful rolling hills just outside Ledbury. Mainly fruit trees but with a few acres of brassicas thrown in for good measure and it’s also home to a thriving flock of organic hens.

The third string to our bow is as wholesalers of quality organic fruit and veg. Click here for more info on this.

We are proud to be firmly rooted in the community with local growers supplying the majority of our veg.

For what its worth

We don’t believe in cheap food.

We charge a fair price for an excellent product. We pay our growers a fair price - and our staff a fair wage . We still manage to generally undercut supermarkets by around 25% for similar fresh produce. And, unlike supermarkets, delivery to your door is free.

to everything there is a season

Our boxes change every week. Some things are available year round - potatoes, carrots and apples store well. But many others are seasonal - that’s the point. So instead of the weekly supermarket trip, where you can come back with the same items 52 weeks of the year, your boxes will reflect the changing seasons - the fleeting pleasures of purple sprouting broccoli in late winter, new potatoes and asparagus in spring, berries and green beans in summer, and squashes and the new season’s apples in autumn, and so on and so on..

So you might get something in your box you would never have chosen at the supermarket. Some of our customers think the surprise element is the best thing about our boxes. But if you don’t want certain varieties that’s no problem - just tell us anything you don’t need and we’ll ensure your box is packed accordingly.

Recycling

We keep packaging to an absolute minimum. Our cardboard boxes are reused half a dozen times at least - please remember to leave your empty box out for collection whenever you are expecting a delivery.

We recycle all our waste card, wood and plastic. We also support our local school, St Lucia’s CE School, Upton Magna, by collecting all their plastic for recycling regularly.
